PSB Songkhla has carried out Environmental impact assessment (EIA) to identify, predict, and evaluate the foreseeable environmental consequences of PSB operation at an early project stage and operation stage. The environmental monitoring has been conducted on monthly basis to ensure that there is no environmental impact and to ensure the compliance with EIA report, environmental regulations and PTTEP SSHE requirements.
- The base is equipped with oil pollution equipment for Tier 1 spill response. The equipment kept at the base is oil containment boom, absorbent pads, oil dispersant, backpack sprayers and other essential supplies and equipment.
- PSB is a member of IESG and in the event of a Tier 2/3 oil spillage, IESG will be contact to assist in the oil cleanup.
- Oil spilled on the jetty will flow into the 0.5 m reinforced concrete drainage line and captured by the 21 m² capacity interceptor. Oil collected in the interceptor will be removed and transferred into 200 litre drums for disposal by contracted waste contractor.
- An oil containment boom is installed around every vessel alongside during bunkering operations to prevent oil spillage.

Safety, Security, Health and Environment (SSHE) at PSB Songkhla is managed and controlled by PTTEP SSHE Management System, which defines SSHE principles for conducting any PSB Songkhla activities with regards to Safety, Security, Health and Environment. All activities must comply with SSHE procedures and work instructions to ensure that the SSHE risks are managed effectively and properly.
PSB Songkhla is equipped with high security systems, such as parameter and high mast lights, barbed-wire fencing, a CCTV system, and 24-hour security guards. PSB Songkhla Staffs and our contractors commit to continue safe working practices with the goal to achieve “Target Zero” where there is no incident, nobody gets hurt in our activities and operations and everyone returns PSB Songkhla safely.
PSB Songkhla is certified with ISO 45001: 2018 and ISO 14001:2015, which mean it qualified the International Standard of Health & Safety Management System and Environmental Management System. It is also certified with ISO 22301:2019 Business Continuity Management Systems.
